Trail:

Droga pod Reglami (Alpine Path) is an interesting trail, running though the eastern-western line, it connects outlets of few valleys, from Kuźnica to Siwa Polana in Chochołowska Valley.

Its a good offer for both pedestrians and skiers, who want to spend one of their winter days in colorful surroundings. The main advantage of this trail is its availability during every time of year and views on southern edges of Spisko-Gubałowski Highlands, with easily noticeable Gubałówka.

The journey can be started from Przewodników Tatrzańskich Avenue, entering the black trail after Księżówka, if we approach from John Paul II Roundabout. For some time we will wander through Sports Center in Zakopane (stadiums and jumping hills) to find ourselves in forest under Wielka Krokiew. To do this we must follow along many souvenir stalls on Bronisława Czecha street and go west. On the left side we pass ski jumping hills complex. We cross the street and go along "corridor" between fences. After a while we turn left and arrive at the edge of the forest by path along chairlift. The trail here is flat, even descending a little. Our path turns right. A steep approach awaits us here. W this section it's best to pay attention, because it gets slippery. From the left side we're accompanied by a forest, right side opens views on Gubałówka. We pass info board telling us that our trail is a former Iron Path, connecting Kościeliska Valley with mining facility in Kuźnice.

After a while we go by Spadowiec Valley exit. After around 20 minutes, we venture into Ku Dziurze Valley exit (free entrance). There is hut on the right side, closed during winter time. Behind it, opposite to valley entrance, the house of famous outlaw Mateja is located. Currently it's a private property, not available for visit. We can finish our walk here, and go downwards, towards Zakopane center.

Droga pod Reglami runs further west. After 10-15 minutes we arrive at Strążyska Valley outlet. Those, who don't want to continue, can easily go to Zakopane center, leaving Droga pod Reglami and following Strążyska street on the right, facing north.

The black trail goes further, quite uphill at first. Relatively broad path goes along the edge of the forst. Arriving on another valley's exit – Za Bramką – takes around 30 minutes from here. Entering this colorful place is free of charge. We've got over a dozen minutes of march from here, we pass the barrier and we head down by steep path. This way we reach Mała Łąka Valley outlet. We can continue even further by not turning to the valley on the left, but following the right side. We pass the wooden house and, beside ticket booth, we come out on parking lot. From there, clinging to left side, we go towards the street that connects Zakopane with Kościelisko. Right before reaching it, we turn left and again enter our trail of interest. In 30 minutes we show up in Staników Żleb exit. Droga pod Reglami goes straight. After around 10 minutes we find ourselves near famous Kościelisko Valley exit.

Droga pod Reglami is not a difficult track. It's also not very complicated. The path is comfortable, mostly going by forest and glade edges, so it's perfect for winter walks.
