The new cinema’s mission is to promote film culture and new media arts. It’s not only a place where you can go to the movies, it’s also a kind of motion picture art gallery which combines entertainment with culture and film education. Visitors to Cinema "Miejsce" ("Place") have the opportunity to participate in film events and experience a diverse range of art. Cinema gives you the opportunity to meet interesting people, broadens your mind, and creates stories, which is why the new Cinema Place, thanks to the creativity, ingenuity and commitment of creators, deserves a place on the cultural map of Zakopane. The venue also plays a significant role in creating a culture-conscious audience. Depending on where someone lives and to which society they belong, culture takes many forms. Studio cinema in Zakopane is a tool to promote culture in all its forms. Far from simply local, the events organised at Cinema Place have a truly national reach. The cinema is a place for new talents to be born and discovered, enabling them to find their passion and unlock their creative potential. Perhaps the cinema will someday be the birthplace of the next ‘great’ Polish film. The emergence of this new cultural institution is a breath of fresh air on the cultural map of Zakopane. Cinema Place has something for everyone, big and small, young and old. It enables cinema fans to actively participate in cultural events. Contact ul. We live in the age of multiplex with over a dozen screens. On one hand its convenient, on the other hand – devoid of charm. This charm is preserved by Giewont Cinema: seemingly small, stylisticaly resembling Europe's dawn of cinema age. Perfect place for a date or to hang out with long unseen friends. Of course, this charm does not contradict novelity: behind retro design are not only niche, ambitious titles, but also box-office breaking blockbusters. And something exclusive only for few polish cinemas: 4K resolution projector, which shows in much better quality than full HD. It doesn't matter then if you're sentimental towards the days long gone or you're high-tech enthusiast, you will spend an unforgetable evening here, full of cinema thrills.
